Street in Front of White House Now Renamed ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza’

Black Lives Matter Plaza

On Friday 5th June 2020, the Washington D.C. Department of Public Works painted the words Black Lives Matter on a street downtown ahead of what is expected to be one of the largest rallies in the nation’s capital on Saturday in response to the killing of George Floyd.

The, Mayor Muriel Bowser renamed the stretch “Black Lives Matter Plaza.”
